New for 2010: This new format will allow us to bring you more articles, movie reviews, books & product reviews, Monthly Child Safety tips, and other content from our website in this new area as well. For now, we will not be making any changes to our website — we’ll just be adding some of our content here instead. :) Our old article section will still be accessible with more than 1070 articles.

This page has information on how you can submit your own articles for possible inclusion on our site, and request product reviews — we’ve also included submission information below.

Regarding our book & product reviews: We have never, nor do we ever intend to, receive compensation for any of our book or product reviews.

We’ve listed a few helpful links below:

Article Submissions:

We are always reviewing & adding articles. :) If you have an article that you think our visitors would enjoy (previously published or new), find useful, and is informative and family-friendly, we invite you to submit that article to us! We will give your article exposure in our new articles area, and include a byline at the bottom of the page your article is on. Please send us the following information for review:

  • Your name
  • Email
  • Title of article
  • The Article
  • A 1-2 sentence byline including URL of website, if applicable.

Your article should typically be approximately 1,000 words in length (though occasionally we accept fewer), and should be sent in text format in the body of your email. Please do submit articles that are informative and family-friendly. Do not submit articles that promote a product, website, or that is filled with links. Please include your name &/or and website URL in your byline. My ParenTime will review your article and website to determine if it provides a “family-friendly” environment for our visitors. If you have a product you would like us to review, please see Product Reviews below.

If we do not accept your article for any current publications, we will keep your article on file until we find such a time where we can use it, providing it is informative, useful, & family-friendly. You will retain full copyright for any articles published. We regret that there is no monetary compensation for articles at this time, but we do include a bio and link back to your website and/or include email address if applicable. In return, we retain the right to publish your article online on myparentime.com, stopsexoffenders.com, &/or jupiterparents.com.

Articles are added a few times each month. Due to time constraints, we regret that we can no longer notify authors of added articles. We invite you to join our monthly newsletter, or search our website to see if your article has been added. If you have submitted an article and do not see it listed in any of the categories after three months, please contact us again. We will let you know whether your article was accepted, declined, or placed on hold for a later date.

Product Reviews:

My ParenTime reviews items that are parenting and family-related — books, software, music, toys, and anything else that is family-friendly (no religious, adult, or political content please). We reserve the right to decline any items for review if we deem them unsuitable for our visitors. We appreciate the opportunity to review your item, but we ask that you please do not submit a whole list of items to review. Due to the high volume of items submitted to us, we regret that we will have to limit each person to one item per request. Please be sure to send us the following information in order to receive email approval for possible review at MyParenTime.com:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Item you would like reviewed
  • Name of item
  • Theme of book
  • Any related website URL

It is now necessary to send us an inquiry email before we accept your item for review. Please be sure to send us an email including all of the above information, before you send us your item. Authors and publishers who have sent inquiry letters via email and have received email approval to send their items, are given review precedence over those who have not.

Items are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you send us an inquiry email and receive acceptance to send us your item, please do not wait a month to send it to us. This will delay your review time.

Email inquiries received about review items are usually replied to within 1 week. If you have sent us an inquiry email and have not received a reply from us within 2 weeks, we invite you to send us a reminder. We only send replies to those items we choose to review. If your item is selected for review, we will send you an email response with the address where you can send your review copy. We will then email you when your item is received, give you a tentative review date, and email your review upon completion.

In addition to permanently displaying your book or product review at My ParenTime, we will also submit your review to Amazon.com (if applicable), and offer a link for our visitors to purchase your book there.
