It was great to read the article as it clearly reflects on what my daughter has expierenced. She went through confusion, anger and humiliation after she was not chosen to play in her final basket ball game on Friday. She was told by her school coach that she will play in the second half and she waited and waited, the coach just walked passed her by choosing other children until the game was over. After the game i went over to one of the teacher's and asked her was there any reason why she couldn't play? and she said to me because she did not attend her practices. I asked my daughter and she told yes she did attend. However, i felt that they should have told her not to go to where 100's of children were playing before hand. It would have been better to let her know before the game so she wont be expecting. Infront of many kids she was not allowed to play. what do you think about this. She even had nightmares which i had to watch her all night long.
So sorry your daughter had to have that experience. :( It's terrible that there are teachers who make our kids feel bad. Just today, a teacher snapped at my daughter for no reason -- oh how I wish I was there at that moment...
