Health Danger Symptoms
Everyone gets a few aches and pains at one time or another, but there are times when symptoms warrant further explanation from a doctor. Please remember, if you notice any symptoms that just don't feel right, please call your doctor.

- Sores or bruises that do not heal within 2-3 weeks.
- Rapid weight loss or gain without a change in eating habits (10 pounds in 10 weeks).
- Loss of appetite.
- Excessive thirst.
- Severe headaches for no apparent reason.
- Dizziness or fainting for no apparent reason.
- Shaking in one area of your body.
- Shortness of breath for no apparent reason.
- Joint pain that doesn't go away.
- Chest pain.
- Any pain, tingling, or numbness in arms or hands.
- A persistant cough.
- Coughing up bloody phlegm.
- Difficulty swallowing.
- Chronic swelling of ankles.
- A mole or other growth on skin that changes color, shape, or size, or that starts to itch and bleed.
- Bluish tinge to lips, fingernails or inside of eyelids.
- Disturbances in sight, smell, or balance.
- Hoarseness that lasts for more than a week.
- Sudden vomiting, not preceded by nausea.
- Vomiting blood or a black or dark brown substance.
- Persistant abdominal pain or indigestion.
- Attacks of constipation or diarrhea, or other change in your normal bowel habits.
- Black, tarry stools.
- Bleeding from the rectum.
- Bloody or cloudy urination.
- Painful or difficult urination.
- Unusual discharge or bleeding from tip of the penis in men; from the nipples in women.
- Women: changes in breast shape or skin (puckering or bulging), or a lump or thickening in breast tissue.
- Women: "spotting" or vaginal bleeding between period or after menopause.
