HEALTH WATCHEveryone gets a few aches and pains at one time or another, but there are times when symptoms warrant further explanation from a doctor. Please remember, if you notice any symptoms that just don't feel right, please call your doctor.



30 Health Danger Symptoms

  • Sores or bruises that do not heal within 2-3 weeks.
  • Rapid weight loss or gain without a change in eating habits (10 pounds in 10 weeks).
  • Loss of appetite.
  • Excessive thirst.
  • Severe headaches for no apparent reason.
  • Dizziness or fainting for no apparent reason.
  • Shaking in one area of your body.
  • Shortness of breath for no apparent reason.
  • Joint pain that doesn't go away.
  • Chest pain.
  • Any pain, tingling, or numbness in arms or hands.
  • A persistant cough.
  • Coughing up bloody phlegm.
  • Difficulty swallowing.
  • Chronic swelling of ankles.
  • A mole or other growth on skin that changes color, shape, or size, or that starts to itch and bleed.
  • Bluish tinge to lips, fingernails or inside of eyelids.
  • Disturbances in sight, smell, or balance.
  • Hoarseness that lasts for more than a week.
  • Sudden vomiting, not preceded by nausea.
  • Vomiting blood or a black or dark brown substance.
  • Persistant abdominal pain or indigestion.
  • Attacks of constipation or diarrhea, or other change in your normal bowel habits.
  • Black, tarry stools.
  • Bleeding from the rectum.
  • Bloody or cloudy urination.
  • Painful or difficult urination.
  • Unusual discharge or bleeding from tip of the penis in men; from the nipples in women.
  • Women: changes in breast shape or skin (puckering or bulging), or a lump or thickening in breast tissue.
  • Women: "spotting" or vaginal bleeding between period or after menopause.
