"A Munks Story: A Visit to the Dentist"
READ MORE ABOUT THIS BOOK This 28-page chapter book is one in a series that is geared for children ages 5-8. This story follows "Munks," a little monkey, through his experience with his first visit to the dentist.

When Munks eats too many sweets and ends up with a painful tooth, his two friends find out that he has never been to the dentist, nor does he brush his teeth every day. His friends then bring him to the dentist and help explain what he may experience during his visit. In the end, Munks learns that he should eat less sweets and take better care of his teeth.

MyParenTime.com recommends this book -- the print is large and the paragraphs are short, as to not overwhelm beginning readers. The story explains what to expect at the dentist's office -- this takes some of the fear away for children. In addition, the story carries the important message for children, that they should take care of their teeth.
