Special Book Review
"A Munk's Story: Munks Goes on an Aeroplane"
This chapter book is one in a series that is geared for children ages 5-8. These stories help children deal with many "firsts" and lessen the "fear of the unknown."
In the book, "Munks Goes on an Aeroplane," the little monkey named Munks and his two friends take a trip on a plane. Together, they go to the airport, check their luggage, find their seat on the plane, and experience what there is to do while in mid-flight. After they land, they get off the plane, find their luggage, and share laughs.
MyParenTime.com recommends this book -- the print in this series is large and the paragraphs and chapters are short, as to not overwhelm beginning readers. Since this book is written and published in the UK, US parents should be aware that there are a couple of spelling differences throughout the book (ie: aeroplane/airplane, favourite/favorite).
