Special Book Review
"Ready to Learn: How to Help Your Preschooler Succeed"
It's perfectly natural for a young child to not listen and follow directions on occasion...and sometimes you'll notice that it's more often than not :)! But if you notice that your preschool-age child is having real difficulty learning or grasping a new idea or subject, then you, as your child's first teacher, should begin early to correct the problem.
The book, "Ready to Learn: How to Help Your Preschooler Succeed," by Stan Goldberg, Ph.D., helps parents by identifying the five important steps in learning. He explains the different ways in which parents can teach their children at a young age, and shows them what children need to do in order to help themselves. He also gives reasons for learning difficulties and gives parents teaching strategies and solutions for preventing and solving learning problems. In addition, parents will be given the tools they need in order to learn and understand their child's own personal learning style, and how to help them learn more effectively.
MyParenTime.com highly recommends this book -- parents of young children will find this book very informative and useful. It lists many resources where parents can find educational support, and includes developmental milestones from the age of three months - five years. It also includes many experiences from both parents and children.
